Massimo Allegri is not among the candidates Roma are considering to replace Claudio Ranieri, despite recently visiting the Italian capital.

Ranieri is currently Roma’s caretaker manager after Ivan Juric was sack in November.

Several names have been link with a move to Roma in recent months, including Allegri, who was in Rome last week for the Italian Open.
Roma could reportedly consider meeting Allegri, who has also been link with Napoli this week, however, a report from Gianluca Di Marzio on Friday suggested Allegri is not one of the coaches the club are considering.
With Stefano Pioli already ruled out this week, only a handful of names are currently on the shortlist for the Roma managerial job.
Roma are reportedly considering a move for Genoa boss Patrick Vieira, Ajax’s Francesco Farioli, Atalanta’s Gian Piero Gasperini, Coma’s Cesc Fabregas and former Barcelona boss Xavi Hernandez.
Xavi was also in Rome this week but has not spoken to any Roma representatives, while Fabregas continues to be link with a move to take over from Xabi Alonso at Leverkusen.
