Chelsea head coach Enzo Maresca has declined to comment on Trevoh Chalobah being linked with a return to Stamford Bridge in January.

Chalobah has join Crystal Palace on loan for the 2024-25 season but is rumour to be end his contract and recall him in January with centre-backs Wesley Fofana and Benoit Badiashile both out injury.

Asked about the possibility of Chalobah being recall, Maresca replied: “I’ve said it before, he’s a Palace player and to talk about him is disrespectful.”

“If I start talking about Trev (Trevoh), it’s disrespectful. If Oliver (Glasner) starts talking about our players, it’s not good for me either.”

Chalobah did not feature for Crystal Palace in the FA Cup third round, which has been link with a move to avoid being cup-tie. However, Maresca สมัครสมาชิก UFABET วันนี้ รับเครดิตฟรีทุกวัน is not aware of this.

“I don’t know. I didn’t even know he wasn’t playing. To be honest, I don’t know anything,” Maresca said.

Following Chalobah’s omission from Chelsea’s pre-season tour last year, Maresca explained his disappointment with the decision. He said in July 2024 via The Evening Standard: “First of all, from my point of view, it’s always sad to leave players out, that can be out of a pre-season, or can be out of the squad or out of the first eleven because in the end they all work for the same target, that is to be part of the same team.

“The Trevoh situation for me is quite clear, we have Axel [Disasi] there, we have Tosin Adarabioyo there, we have Wes Fofana who in these two weeks has worked very good and is finally back, we have some very young profiles like Josh Acheampong who is doing fantastic. It’s a sad decision but we have to take the decision.”
